As part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) our commitment to the 2030 agenda established by the United Nations in 2015 with 193 countries is real and unequivocal and from our company we want to and must do our bit.
17 are the goals for transforming our world, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the blueprint for achieving a sustainable future for all. They are interrelated and incorporate the global challenges we face every day, such as poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace and justice. To leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each of these goals by 2030.
Translating this into practical, achievable and realistic tasks for us, these are some of the best practices we have adopted:
ODS 3 - HEALTH AND WELLNESS
- Availability of organic menus to encourage our customers to choose them.
- Considerable increase of local products (km 0) as for example the house wine that comes from the Serrania de Ronda.
ODS 7 - AFFORDABLE AND NON-POLLUTING ENERGY
- All our rooms have natural light, saving energy and therefore avoiding excessive electricity consumption. Also note that we have considerably reduced the replacement of consumables (light bulbs) by minimizing their use.
- Motion detectors in transit areas and the use of LEDs or low energy consumption in all our facilities.
- By 2025 we aim to produce at least 75% of the energy we consume through solar energy with photovoltaic panels.
ODS 8 - DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
- Collaboration with secondary schools (IES) in marginalized neighborhoods to support the training of students with fewer opportunities in the world of work and to promote social integration.
- We have adapted our facilities to make them accessible to all employees and guests with reduced mobility.
SDG 10 - REDUCING INEQUALITIES
- To promote the importance of women and gender equality by highlighting 19th century women through the work of Doña Emilia Rebollo, an enterprising woman ahead of her time, whose private collection we preserve and exhibit at the Casa Palacete de Hacienda del Álamo ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emilia_Rebollo_de_Fort
Although we always have the best professionals in each area regardless of gender, race or religion, we are pleased to know that the staff of our company is made up of more women than men, coincidence ¿? 😊
ODS 11 - SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES
- Sustainable waste management, with the creation of several recycling islands at our facilities. Waste such as used oils, batteries, batteries, batteries or printer toners are collected for recycling by certified companies.
- Explanatory posters were also installed to remind and raise awareness among all personnel of the importance of recycling.
- Installation of signs in customer restrooms to raise awareness of the responsible use of water.
